The TRIP

The AFRICA PRINCESS offers a unique way of safely and comfortably accessing in one week, to a compelling sample of the huge diversity of the Bijagós: Fishing in different spots everyday, visiting several villages, and daily enjoying a new beach, as well as various scenarios of the Archipel's Bio Diversity.

For very specific requests, we can also custom design trips of one or two weeks, for groups of 8 guests.

In the Bijagós, the cruises of the AFRICA PRINCESS start every Saturday and end every Friday, in the Port of Bissau. We synchronize our schedules with the EuroATLANTIC, the TAP and the Royal Air Maroc flights.

We expect our passengers to take care of the flights. Please, contact us - we will be glad advising you on the best and most confortable options.

We will pick you in the airport and transfer you to the boat. There, following a good night sleep in your cabin, you will discover the Bijagós, ready for your first walk in a desert beach or... for your first fishing sensations.

From then on, all the meals are included and, except for the bar and fishing; there is no other way to spend money - the Bijagós is not a monetized society.

Usually we tour the South islands of the Bijagós - the most wild ones, where every day the boat moves to a new beach.

For the non-fishermen we have a varied program, personally mastered by our Comfort Manager: from swimming, sun-tanning and promenades in the beach, to walking in the forest and savanna to visit the villages, and get in touch with the Bijagós explosive Nature.

                                  GALLERY

For the fishermen we have all the necessary support: fishing boats led by our fishermen, fishing tackle ( if needed), and... a lot of local expertise.

Because in every new stop, fishing is naturally done in that area, many fishermen choose to join the rest of the passengers for lunch, and return fishing afterwards. Nevertheless, for the most "passionate" ones, we usually prepare a on board pic-nick. But even those, following a good refreshing shower, they never miss our Chef's aperitifs before dinner...

While we often have lunch in a pic-nick around a table, in the beach under the palm trees, dinner is always on board. Most of the times, we eat a variety of fresh fish, just caught by our sport fisherman. Nevertheless... our Chef always surprises us.

Although our meals include standard white and red wine, should some guest want some special wine, our bar has some variety of wines for his/her choice.
